Event Description

Wag-O-Ween returns October 25–26 for its 20th year, transforming downtown Savannah and the Starland District into a two-day celebration for dogs and their humans. What began as a small parade nearly two decades ago has grown into one of the city’s largest pet-friendly community events, attracting thousands of participants each year.

The event features trick-or-treating at more than 100 participating businesses, as well as costume contests, scavenger hunts, photo ops, and plenty of treats for both pups and people. Dog owners and animal lovers alike can stroll the city’s most iconic neighborhoods while enjoying creative costumes, fun competitions, and the festive atmosphere.

Beyond the fun, Wag-O-Ween serves as a major fundraiser for local animal rescues and shelters, supporting efforts to care for and rehome pets across the Savannah area. With its mix of community spirit, family-friendly fun, and canine charm, it’s a fall event that continues to be one of Savannah’s most beloved traditions.
