McDonough’s is once again positioning itself as one of Savannah’s soccer headquarters. The longtime Irish pub has decorated for the tournament, is running World Cup food and drink specials daily from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., and plans to host watch parties throughout the competition. Expect a bunch of tv's with game audio, giveaways, and a crowd that’s ready to celebrate every goal.
Congress Street's B&D Burgers is showing matches throughout the tournament and has partnered with Michelob Ultra for World Cup promotions and specials. B&D's is hosting soccer themed events and watch parties, making it a solid option for fans looking for a lively atmosphere.
If screens matter, Savannah Taphouse might be hard to beat. The restaurant says all 40 TVs will be showing World Cup matches throughout the tournament. Audio will be available on a first come, first served basis for most games, while Team USA matches are expected to get priority treatment.
One of Savannah’s newest breweries is embracing the tournament from day one. First City Brewing is promoting itself as a World Cup watch destination, complete with multiple big screen TVs, house brewed beer, and food available through a partnership with Tacos + Tequila. The brewery opens daily at noon and plans to show matches throughout the competition.
