Another new restaurant is preparing to open in Savannah, and this one is bringing a taste of New Orleans.
Pauline's Po'Boys is getting ready to open at 1705 Abercorn Street, directly across from Sly's Sliders & Fries. The restaurant will focus on authentic New Orleans style po'boys, built around fresh ingredients, generous portions, and the classic Louisiana sandwiches that have become a staple of Crescent City cuisine.
While an official opening date hasn't been announced, the owners say they're putting the finishing touches on the restaurant and will welcome customers soon.
To give Savannah a preview, Pauline's is offering free gumbo samples on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11 a.m. until they're gone, giving locals an early taste of what's to come.
Although the full menu hasn't been released, the restaurant has described its concept as "fresh po'boys, fast lunch, New Orleans flavor, and Savannah hospitality." If it delivers on those classic Louisiana favorites, Pauline's could become a go to lunch spot for anyone craving an authentic po'boy without making the trip to New Orleans.
We'll share more details, including an official opening date and menu, as they're announced.
