Wilderness Southeast hosts kayak and paddleboard races, family activities and live music to support Fish Gotta Swim.
Wilderness Southeast’s fifth annual Family Fun Day & Paddle Battle takes place at Wilmington Island Marina on Saturday, October 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds support Fish Gotta Swim, an environmental education program for underserved Savannah youth.
Activities include 5K and 10K kayak and paddleboard races, a one-mile fun race, family boat rides with Daufuskie Life, children’s games and live music by the Crabettes and SOAP. Food options include a Lowcountry boil and the Oh Crepe! food truck. A raffle includes a floating dock and a two-rider towable from Islands Ace Hardware.
The marina is at 36 Wilmington Island Road. Tickets for the family event are available through Wilderness Southeast, and race registration is available through PaddleGuru.
