Lantern festival at Lake Mayer Park where guests design and release lanterns to light up the water.
The Savannah Water Lantern Festival will take place on Saturday, September 6 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lake Mayer Park. Guests are invited to create and release lanterns onto the water, joining others in a community celebration of light, reflection, and connection.
The event is part of the national Water Lantern Festival, which has been recognized as one of the top festivals in the country. Tickets include materials to design your own lantern, with the evening culminating in a collective launch as lanterns drift across the lake. The experience offers a memorable and family-friendly way to spend an evening outdoors in Savannah.
