30th anniversary screening of Clueless with costume designer Mona May for Q&A, signing, and book discussion.
Trustees Theater will host a special screening of Clueless as part of its Postcards from the Movies series, celebrating the film’s 30th anniversary. The event will take place on Saturday, October 4 at 7 p.m.
The mid-90s teen comedy by Amy Heckerling has become a cultural touchstone, following Cher Horowitz (played by Alicia Silverstone) through the ups and downs of high school, friendship, and self-discovery. Known for its witty dialogue and iconic fashion, Clueless continues to resonate with audiences decades after its release.
The evening will include a Q&A and signing with the film’s costume designer, Mona May, who will share insights on her creative work that helped shape the movie’s legacy. May will also discuss her upcoming book The Fashion of Clueless, which will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
Tickets are free for SCAD Card holders and $5 for students, seniors, and military. General admission is $8. This screening offers a rare chance to revisit a beloved film on the big screen while gaining behind-the-scenes perspective from one of its key creators.
