The Davenport House Museum presents Holiday Traditions of the Enslaved Community on Friday, December 27, a special evening tour offering a deeper understanding of the holiday season in the early 19th century. Presented in partnership with Gullah-Geechee Master Storyteller Patt Gunn and Underground Tours, this immersive experience highlights the lives of the enslaved workers who resided at the Davenport House. Guests will explore traditions expressed through song, dance, foodways, and spirituality, with performances by Patt Gunn’s Saltwata Players featuring freedom and holiday songs. Tours depart every 30 minutes from the Historic Kennedy Pharmacy (323 E. Broughton St.), with tickets priced at $30 for adults and $20 for children 18 and under.
