Fresh Perspectives: Uncommon Crops That Thrive

The Forsyth Farmers' Market's Fresh Perspective Series continues with a workshop focused on uncommon crops! Forsyth Farmers’ Market – a leading nonprofit organization based in Savannah, Ga. that is dedicated to supporting local farmers while expanding community access to fresh, affordable food – will host a new biweekly Fresh Perspectives Series, offering Saturday workshops at the Forsyth Farmers’ Market in Forsyth Park at 13 E. Park Ave. between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. The next workshop in the series will feature Ben Chaffee, the founder of Fruitful Futures — a Savannah-based 501(c)3 nonprofit helping to build a resilient, equitable and resourceful culture for coastal Georgia through urban agriculture. Chaffee will discuss uncommon edible plants that can thrive in a backyard garden. The Forsyth Farmers’ Market Fresh Perspectives workshops are open to the public. Advance registration is recommended.
