U.S. citizens and residents can visit Fort Pulaski without the entrance fee on Veterans Day; other charges may still apply.
Fort Pulaski National Monument offers entrance fee free admission for U.S. citizens and residents on Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2026. Other fees, including any applicable reservation or activity charges, are not automatically waived.
Regular park hours are 9 a.m.–5 p.m., with last entry at 4:30 p.m. The historic fort closes at 4:30 p.m., while the visitor center remains open until 5 p.m. The visitor center’s physical address is 101 Fort Pulaski Road, off U.S. Highway 80 between Savannah and Tybee Island.
As of October 29, NPS notices warn of flooded or muddy trails, Gorge Wall preservation closures, the McQueen’s Island Trail closure and a permanent North Shoreline closure. These notices do not mean the Veterans Day visit is canceled. Check the park’s current alerts and conditions before traveling and follow posted closures.
