Christmas in Wartime at the Green-Meldrim House

Christmas in Wartime offers a unique look at how Savannahians marked the holiday season between 1859 and 1866. Guided by docents in period costume, visitors will explore the beautifully decorated Green-Meldrim House while hearing stories of life during the Civil War years.

The evening tours feature music, dancing, parlor games, and historic storytelling that bring the era to life. Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and is limited in size, creating an intimate and immersive experience inside one of Savannah’s most significant historic homes.

This special holiday tour runs December 26 through 28 and is a ticketed evening event.
