Anticipation Celebration

Asbury Memorial Church invites all to participate in a meaningful New Year’s Day tradition on January 1, 2025, at its location at 1008 E. Henry Street, Savannah, GA. The event will start at 3:00 PM and will feature two central components. The first is the Burning Bowl Ceremony, where participants can engage in letting go of past year's negative habits, beliefs, and fears by writing them down and symbolically burning them to usher in a fresh start for the new year. This will be followed by an Anticipation Celebration, a quiet session led by facilitators where each attendee will write a personal and reflective love letter outlining their aspirations and intentions for the year ahead. These letters will be sealed, collected, and mailed back to the participants around Thanksgiving, offering a unique opportunity to revisit and assess one’s progress toward their year-end goals.
