An evening reception and lecture highlighting the history and preservation of Ossabaw Island and the Torrey Home.
Ossabaw Night in Savannah brings together history lovers and Ossabaw Island supporters for an evening focused on one of Georgia’s most significant coastal landmarks. The event begins with a 5:00 p.m. reception, followed by a 6:00 p.m. lecture presented by Elizabeth DuBose, Executive Director of the Ossabaw Island Foundation. This year’s program highlights the Torrey Home as it marks 100 years, exploring its history, preservation efforts, and ongoing rehabilitation as a “Southern Palace” on Ossabaw Island. The event offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the island’s legacy and the state-supported restoration project.
