New fundraiser brings bikes, boats, and jeeps together for a poker run and family celebration on the river.
The 1st Annual Surf and Turf Poker Run takes place Sunday, September 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Hutchinson Island. This new community fundraiser supports Greenbriar Children’s Center and Park Place Outreach, continuing the tradition of creative riverfront events in Savannah.
The Poker Run welcomes all types of vehicles—bikes, boats, jeeps, and more—making it a unique opportunity for groups and individuals alike to participate. For those not riding in the run, the Grand Finale Celebration will be held from 12 to 4 p.m. at Savannah Harbor Marina in partnership with IGY Savannah Harbor Marina.
Attendees can expect live music, karaoke, food vendors, and family-friendly entertainment, including kids’ activities and even the rumored appearance of miniature horses. The event will also feature opportunities to win prizes through the Poker Run itself or the Pick-A-Prize Giveaway.
Every dollar raised from the Surf and Turf Poker Run benefits local at-risk youth, making it both a fun community event and a meaningful cause.
