Fall in Savannah is one of the best times of the year. The weather cools just enough to make strolling the squares or heading out to Tybee a little more enjoyable, and the city’s calendar fills up with festivals, cultural celebrations, and seasonal traditions. Whether you’re into food, music, art, or just a good time, there’s something to look forward to in the months ahead. Here are some of the highlights coming up this fall.
October 24, 2026
The Isle of Hope Arts & Music Festival returns to the waterfront with local artists, makers, food vendors, and live music. What began as a neighborhood art show in 2000 now stretches from the marina along Bluff Drive and into Paxton Park, with plenty to browse beneath the live oaks. Vendors are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and music continues until 8 p.m. Proceeds support the Isle of Hope Historical Association, helping preserve the neighborhood’s history and giving this annual gathering a purpose beyond the day’s art and entertainment.
October 3–4 & 10–11, 2026
Plant Riverside District hosts Oktoberfest over two weekends this fall, with Bavarian-inspired food, seasonal beers, and live music on the Riverwalk Stage. This year’s free games include Pretzel Fishing, Strudel Stroll, Keg Bowling, and Stein Holding. The Wiener Dog Races return to Martin Luther King Jr. Park on October 10 at 11 a.m., with dachshunds competing along the riverfront. Food specials include bratwurst, German potato salad, and apple and raisin strudel, making it an easy stop for lunch and an afternoon of activities by the river.
October 8–10, 2026, 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
The Savannah Greek Festival marks its 75th year with three days of homemade Greek food, pastries, traditional music, and dancing. Hosted by St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church at the Hellenic Center, 14 W. Anderson Street, the celebration also includes church tours and a marketplace. Visitors can try dishes such as spanakopita, souvlaki, and pastitsio, or pick up baklava and other pastries. Admission is free all three days, with food available for purchase.
October 24–25, 2026
Wag-O-Ween returns for its 21st year, bringing costumed dogs and their owners to participating businesses throughout downtown Savannah and the Starland District. The two-day community fundraiser supports local animal rescues and shelters, with participants following a route of treat stops around town. It is a chance to dress up, meet other dog owners, and support animal welfare programs while exploring the neighborhood. October 8–11, 2026
Tybee Island’s Pirate Festival returns with live music, pirate performers, costume contests, and activities for children at Little Matey’s Cove. The weekend begins with the separately ticketed Buccaneer Ball at The Crab Shack on October 8, followed by free admission to the festival grounds October 9–11. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, at 3 p.m., while the festival’s entertainment includes local bands, a mermaid water show, and children’s crafts and games. Pirate costumes are welcome for anyone who wants to join in.

The Eastern Wharf Food Truck Festival returns for its third year at the Riverfront Lot, 102 Port Street. The free event brings together food trucks from around the region, with options ranging from barbecue and burgers to Latin cuisine, seafood, and desserts. Live music on the Riverfront Stage runs throughout the afternoon, giving visitors time to browse the trucks, choose a meal, and spend some time along the water. Admission is free and open to the public, with food available for purchase from individual vendors.
