One of TikTok’s most recognizable food critics, Keith Lee, made a surprise visit to 520 Wings in midtown Savannah on Wednesday. Lee, who has over 17 million followers and 830 million likes on the platform, is known for visiting locally owned restaurants and giving honest, thoughtful reviews—good or bad.
His reputation for supporting small businesses has helped many mom-and-pop spots gain national attention. When he shares a positive experience, it often leads to a surge in customers and visibility for the restaurant.
While in Savannah, Lee stopped by 520 Wings, just days after the local restaurant celebrated its 15-year anniversary. The owner said he’s been following Keith for years and called it a dream to be able to serve him in person. Though it’s not clear yet whether Lee will post a full review, he did share a short clip on Snapchat showing him trying the food.
Lee was also seen visiting the new Hyundai Metaplant in Bryan County during his stop in the area.
Whether or not a full TikTok video is coming, the visit alone is enough to get people talking—and it’s another spotlight moment for a long-standing local business.
