The new Signia Hilton Savannah has reached the top of its nearly 200-foot tower on Hutchinson Island. Crews placed the hotel’s highest structural beam on October 19, marking a major step in construction of the 444-room property beside the Savannah Convention Center.
The hotel is expected to open in June 2028. Reservations are not yet available.
An enclosed connection will link the hotel directly to the convention center. The property will also have more than 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a 13,000-square-foot ballroom.
Plans include five restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool and Club Signia, a private-access lounge. Savannah-based Grey Spaces, led by chef Mashama Bailey and restaurateur Johno Morisano, is helping develop the hotel’s food and beverage program.
More than 300 workers are on site each day, and more than 1,200 people have worked on the project so far. Construction has required more than 27,000 cubic yards of concrete and 2,700 tons of reinforcing steel.
The hotel will sit at 2 International Drive, across the river from downtown Savannah. Together with the convention center’s expansion, it will add more places for large groups to stay and gather on Hutchinson Island.
