Raising Cane’s is moving forward with its first Savannah restaurant, with early construction now underway at 7805 Abercorn Street.
The new restaurant will be built on the currently empty parking lot between Chili’s and Moe’s along Abercorn Street. Crews have recently broken ground on the site, marking the first visible progress since Raising Cane’s confirmed plans for the Savannah location earlier this month.
News of the restaurant first surfaced after two management positions appeared on Raising Cane’s careers website tied to the Abercorn Street address. The company later confirmed the location, though an opening date has not yet been announced. More details about the timeline are expected closer to the end of the year.
The Savannah restaurant follows Raising Cane’s continued expansion into the area. Its new Statesboro location officially opened on Aug. 24, giving the region its first Raising Cane’s while construction gets underway in Savannah.
Known for its simple menu of chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw and its signature Cane’s Sauce, Raising Cane’s has expanded rapidly in recent years.
