The iconic Forsyth Park fountain will be temporarily removed starting June 1 for its first major restoration in more than 35 years.
The project, which is still pending city council approval, will include updated lighting, piping, and other behind-the-scenes improvements. City officials haven’t released a full timeline yet, but the work could take up to seven months.
The city says it has already blocked out dates for weddings and special events during the project, ensuring no one is caught off guard by the absence of the fountain. Still, if you’re planning a visit or hosting something in Forsyth Park this year, it’s worth keeping this in mind.
