A new weekly event is now underway at Eastern Wharf, giving locals another reason to head to the river on Thursday evenings.

Food Truck Thursdays officially kicked off last week on April 2, bringing a rotating lineup of food trucks to Eastern Wharf each week from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event takes place at 400 Passage Way, right next to Stevedore Bakery, and is free and open to the public.

The idea is simple. Create a consistent, go to spot where people can grab food, sit down, and spend time along the river. Organizers have set up a dedicated area with tables and seating, making it more than just a quick stop for food. It is meant to be a place to hang out, meet up with friends, and enjoy the waterfront.

While April’s lineup is starting smaller with a couple of trucks each week, there are plans to expand based on demand. Upcoming trucks include Krazian and Philly Boys on April 16, followed by Chazitos and Oh Crepe on April 30. The rotation will continue to change week to week.

Twice a month, the event will also pair with the Savannah Sunset Market, which takes place on the second and fourth Thursdays. On those nights, the space will include up to 20 vendors offering fresh and prepared foods, along with live music and additional food options. Those dates for April fall on the 9th and 23rd.

Eastern Wharf has already built a reputation for hosting food focused events, including its annual Food Truck Festival and regular riverfront gatherings. This weekly setup adds a more consistent option for both residents and visitors looking for something casual to do during the week.

With warmer months ahead and more trucks expected to join the lineup, Food Truck Thursdays are shaping up to be a regular part of the weekly routine for anyone looking to spend an evening by the river.
