A new Buc-ee’s is planned for Hardeeville, South Carolina, about 25 to 30 minutes north of Savannah depending on where you live. The store will be built on a 46 acre site within the Hardee Station development at Exit 8 off I-95, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 278 and Highway 17.
The Hardeeville location is expected to feature dozens of fuel pumps along with electric vehicle charging stations. Plans also include a bicycle plaza and scenic ponds as part of the broader development.

Construction is projected to begin soon, with a target completion date of 2031.
For Savannah area drivers, this would place a Buc-ee’s roughly 20 to 30 miles away. Currently, the closest location is in Brunswick, which sits more than 60 miles south of Savannah.
Buc-ee’s has developed a strong following for its oversized travel centers, spotless restrooms, and wide selection of food and merchandise. Popular menu items include brisket sandwiches, pulled pork, turkey, and Beaver Nuggets. The stores are also known for carrying Buc-ee’s branded apparel, gifts, snacks, and seasonal items, often in a space comparable to a grocery store.
While the Hardeeville location is still several years away, the project continues to move through planning stages. For local road trippers and Buc-ee’s fans, it is another sign that the brand’s footprint near the Savannah area is expanding.
