Bandana Burger is expanding to Whitemarsh Island. The Savannah restaurant is preparing a second location at 4690 US-80, in the former Five Guys space, giving island residents another burger option along the highway.
The new address is listed on Bandana Burger’s website alongside its original restaurant at 4525 Habersham Street. The Habersham location opened in 2023, and the Whitemarsh spot would be the business’s first expansion in the Savannah area.
The menu at the existing restaurant goes beyond traditional beef burgers, with turkey, salmon and plant-based options. Wings and several styles of fries are also available. The restaurant is known for wrapping its burgers in bandanas, a detail that has become part of its identity.
The Whitemarsh location is still being prepared. Bandana Burger has not announced a firm opening date or posted operating hours for the new restaurant, so the hours listed for Habersham should not be assumed to apply on US-80.
Once it opens, the new restaurant will put Bandana Burger closer to residents of Whitemarsh, Wilmington and Talahi islands who would otherwise make the trip toward midtown for the original location.
