Summer is here, and Savannah’s event calendar is already filling up with everything from live music and family shows to car enthusiasts, trading card collectors, and craft beverage fans. If you’re looking for a few unique events to keep on your radar over the next couple of months, here are five worth checking out.
July 9 | Savannah Civic Center
Families with young children may want to circle this one on the calendar. The Princess Concert brings live performers, dancers, aerial acts, and music inspired by some of the most popular animated films and musicals. The show features songs from favorites like Frozen, Moana, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Wicked, and more in a family friendly concert setting. Designed for all ages, the production combines live entertainment with plenty of familiar songs that kids are likely to recognize.
July 4 | Plant Riverside District
If you’re looking for a unique way to experience Savannah’s Fourth of July fireworks, Plant Riverside District is hosting several elevated viewing experiences along the riverfront. Rooftop events at Myrtle & Rose and Electric Moon will offer food, drinks, entertainment, and front row views of the city’s fireworks display. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year, organizers are positioning the event as one of the area’s premier Independence Day celebrations.
June 13 | Savannah Convention Center
Car enthusiasts will have plenty to see when the SWERV Super Show takes over the Savannah Convention Center. The indoor event will feature custom cars, trucks, motorcycles, lowriders, vendors, live DJs, competitions, awards, and family friendly entertainment throughout the day. Organizers say all makes and models are welcome, making it a showcase that appeals to everyone from casual car fans to dedicated automotive enthusiasts.
June 13 | Alee Shrine Temple
Trading card games continue to explode in popularity, and Savannah TCG Fest is bringing together collectors, players, and vendors for a full day dedicated entirely to the hobby. The event will feature more than 100 vendor tables along with cards, accessories, collectibles, sealed products, and opportunities to buy, sell, and trade. Fans of Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Lorcana, and other popular games will find plenty to browse throughout the day.
July 25 | Enmarket Arena
Beer, wine, and spirits lovers can look forward to the return of Sips on Stiles, one of Savannah’s largest tasting events. Now in its third year, the festival will feature more than 40 breweries, wineries, and distilleries under one roof at Enmarket Arena. Attendees will have the chance to sample a wide variety of beverages while enjoying live entertainment, vendors, and food. General admission and VIP tickets are available, with free parking included.
Whether you’re looking for a family outing, a new hobby, a unique Fourth of July celebration, or simply an excuse to get out and explore something different, these five events offer a little bit of everything as Savannah heads into the summer season.
